Job summary

Viacore Solutions in Edmonton is seeking a Journeyman Welder to join our Mechanical Services Team. You will read blueprints, weld with GTAW/GMAW/FCAW/SMAW, and operate flame-cutting and metal shaping equipment in a team-focused environment.

Ideal candidates have a Journeyman welding certification, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel and work overtime or irregular hours, including remote locations.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current and valid driver’s license.
• Journeyman / Journeyperson certification in the welding trade.
• Must be able to work with minimal direction.
• Willingness to travel.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime and/or irregular hours.
• Willingness and ability to work in remote locations.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using GTAW, GMAW, FCAW or SMAW.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
• Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, band saws and other straightening/bending machines.
• Aluminum welding experience is an asset.

Job Summary

Our Edmonton Branch is currently seeking a Journeyman Welder to join our Mechanical Services Team. We’re looking for knowledgeable, experienced, and highly motivated individuals who have great work ethic and enjoy working in a team-focused environment.

Job duties

• Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW)
• Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
• Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, band saws and other metal straightening and bending machines
• Aluminum welding experience is an asset
