Job description

Job Description

The welder is responsible for production welding to ensure quality and quantity of work completed accurately and on time, adhering to CT/PP Canada specifications.

Essential Job Responsibilities

1. Receive instructions for specific jobs.
2. Maintain all company information as confidential; handle prints and bill of materials appropriately.
3. Use timekeeping systems accurately.
4. Record all work to the proper work orders.
5. Document anomalies for all work orders.
6. Ensure workmanship quality at CT/PP Canada facility.
7. Complete work promptly.
8. Meet with a supervisor upon work completion to receive the next assignment.
9. Annual training in: Document Data Control, Inspection and Testing, ID & Traceability, Handling and Storage, Calibration, Welding Procedures, NCR, CAR & PAR System.
10. Maintain an orderly and safe work environment.
11. Follow safety standards per NOV Canada ULC, health and safety policies, and provincial regulations.
12. Maintain safety and mechanical equipment.
13. Report material shortages to the Team Leader.
14. Work efficiently and safely, following National Oilwell Varco policies.
15. Keep all company information confidential.
16. Perform other tasks as assigned to meet or exceed customer and company expectations.

Qualification Requirements (Minimum Education and Experience)

• Welding designation as an Apprentice or Journeyman within Alberta.
• Minimum 3 years FCAW/MCAW welding experience.
• CWB FCAW/MCAW all-position ticket.

HSE Requirements (Training and Physical Demands)

• Capable of lifting 50 pounds.
• Capable of repeated bending, stooping, squatting, and standing for prolonged periods.
• Training in overhead crane operation.
• Meet all physical demands of the job.
• Wear PPE as required.
