Job summary

Une entreprise de construction reconnue recherche un Technicien de Contrôle de Trafic pour répondre aux incidents sur les autoroutes provinciales et collaborer avec les services d'urgence. Avec au moins deux ans d'expérience et un diplôme de niveau secondaire, le candidat devra posséder des compétences en communication et en résolution de problèmes, et une certification OTM BOOK 7 est indispensable. Ce poste expose à diverses conditions météorologiques et exige une capacité à travailler en extérieur.

Qualifications

  • Au moins 2 ans d'expérience dans l'entretien des routes ou le contrôle du trafic.
  • Valid Class DZ driver's license avec un bon dossier.
  • Connaissance des principes de réponse d'urgence et sensibilisation à la sécurité.

Responsibilities

  • Répondre aux incidents sur les autoroutes provinciales, y compris les accidents, les déversements et les urgences.
  • Servir de liaison avec les répondants aux urgences.
  • Compléter les rapports d'incidents et coordonner les détours.

Job Description:

Position Summary: Responsible for responding to incidents on provincial highways, including traffic accidents, spills, and emergencies, and assisting police and emergency services.

Note: Role may include equipment operation for seasonal road maintenance. Start date in 2025.

Primary Duties:
  • Serve as liaison with emergency responders during incidents.
  • Communicate with Traffic Operations Centre via radio and phone.
  • Complete incident reports and coordinate detours.
  • Investigate fatalities and maintain incident files.
  • Assist with third-party claims documentation.
  • Coordinate traffic control for events and closures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize, and problem-solve.
  • Knowledge of emergency response principles and safety awareness.
  • Proficient in computer skills.
  • Effective communication and hazard recognition skills.
  • Ability to wear PPE and follow safety protocols.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma required.
  • At least 2 years' experience in highway maintenance or traffic control.
  • Valid Class DZ driver's license with a good record.
  • OTM BOOK 7 certification required.
Working Conditions:

Exposure to weather, chemicals, insects, and noise. Physical demands include working outdoors in various conditions.
