Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Weatherization Installer who is interested in learning or also has experience with HVACR. We're an expanding HVAC company who's involved with energy efficiencyupgrades includinginsulation, air sealing, and overall energy efficiency home upgrades.In this role, you will be primarily be responsible for the installation of energy-efficient materials and systems designed to improve the energy efficiency of homes and commercial properties. Additionally this role will include cross training or work with installing or servicing residential and commercial HVACR systems. As aweatherization installer youwill ensure that all projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Must be able to pass required background check.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Weatherization Installations: Oversee the installation of weatherization materials, including insulation (fiberglass, blown in cellulose,spray foam), air sealing, and the installation of energy-efficient windows and doors.
  • Energy Savings Upgrades: Work closely with the energy audit team to review home or building assessments and implement weatherization measures that address identified energy loss points.
  • HVAC Service and Installation:Work with HVACR team to broaden your knowledge base and generally assist with service and installations of HVACR systems. On the job training and educationassistance can be provided.
  • Quality Control & Inspections: Perform quality control checks to ensure that installations meet safety standards, manufacturer guidelines, and energy efficiency goals. Conduct final inspections to verify work is completed to specifications.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to address any questions or concerns during the installation process. Ensure that projects are completed with minimal disruption to homeowners or building occupants.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure that all weatherization work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and energy efficiency standards. Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to OSHA guidelines.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Document daily work activities, materials used, and any issues or changes that occur on-site. Provide accurate and timely reports to management.
  • General Construction:Install and service a variety of building materials.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 1 years of experience in weatherization,insulation installation, construction or HVAC industry.
  • Technical Skills: Understanding of weatherization techniques,insulation materials, air sealing methods, and energy-efficient upgrades. Experience working with basic tools in safe affective manner.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with building codes, energy standards (e.g., BPI, RESNET), and OSHA safety regulations.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 75lbs), climb ladders, and work in attics, basements, or crawl spaces.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, particularly related to energy loss and efficiency challenges.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with clients, team members, and management.
  • Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with energy-efficient home improvements, including HVAC upgrades, air duct sealing, or solar installations.
  • Knowledge of local utility rebate programs and energy efficiency incentives.
  • Previous experience using blower doors, infrared cameras, and other diagnostic tools.
  • BPI Crew Lead
