Job summary

Canada Life is seeking a Solutions Architect for the Individual Wealth Technology team. You will define and maintain architecture for delivery and support, collaborating with business and technology teams to drive the technical vision.

Hands-on work may be required to implement new patterns and technologies to improve value. We seek a mentor who can guide architects and developers, with wealth management domain experience and strong communication across business and tech groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years in technology environments.
• Minimum 4 years as an architect on large-scale projects.
• Experience leading architecture activities with Enterprise/Portfolio Architects.
• Mentor to junior architects and developers/engineers.
• Strong knowledge of wealth management tech and business acuity.

Responsibilities

• Define and facilitate solution architecture leveraging enterprise capabilities.
• Consult with business partners and delivery stakeholders.
• Maintain technical solution architectures.
• Set architectural vision and drive technical direction.
• Create candidate architectures and ensure quality designs.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and value.
• Engage with team to address complex problems and changes.
