Job summary

University of Regina’s Hill Levene School of Business invites applications for one Sessional Lecturer to teach BUS 472AC - Wealth Management in the Winter 2027 semester, on campus during evenings. The class runs Jan 6–Apr 12, with finals Apr 15–28, and a TA may be provided if available.

The lecturer will prepare outlines, deliver 13 lectures lasting 2.75 hours each, evaluate student work, and maintain professional standards in line with academic guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate and/or PhD/doctorate degree in a discipline relevant to the course subject area (bachelor’s degree coupled with relevant professional business experience may also be considered).
• Recent and significant professional experience relevant to the course subject area.
• Chartered Financial Analyst ( CFA ) designation.
• Superior communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with respect to academic reporting.
• Recent teaching experience in a post-secondary environment considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Preparing the course outline, designing relevant assignments, evaluating and grading student work, and submitting student grades on time.
• Teaching course content that follows the course description, established learning objectives, and university academic guidelines.
• Delivering 13 2.75-hour lectures throughout the semester (unless otherwise discussed with the Associate Dean).
• Encouraging and maintaining a safe and collaborative classroom environment.
• Providing regular support to students on course work as required before and after each class, during office hours, and as required by students.
• Meeting all submission deadlines as outlined by the Hill School of Business.
• Consulting with the Associate Dean (Undergraduate Programs) on academic or student-related matters as needed; and
• Other duties as assigned.
