Finance oversees accounting, financial, and regulatory reporting for the firm. It prepares external financial reports for public filings and regulators. Internally, Finance, along with Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA), summarizes, plans, and forecasts the organization's financial position, including income statements, balance sheets, and future revenue, expense, and earnings analyses. The division includes Business Unit Controllers, Infrastructure Controllers, Accounting, Regulatory and Reporting groups, and Valuation Review.

Team Profile

The Finance Division, reporting to the CFO, comprises around 3,000 employees globally. It protects the firm's integrity through accurate record-keeping and risk management, maintains regulatory relationships, and provides financial information to external stakeholders. It also acts as an advisor to the firm's various units and senior management.

Responsibilities

As part of the Business Unit Controller team, you will support Morgan Stanley at Work and Wealth Management Canada. Your responsibilities include:

1. Preparing budgeting, forecasting, and key metric reports, collaborating with Finance and stakeholders.
2. Developing financial and non-financial analyses and presenting key metrics.
3. Supporting quarterly due diligence, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and risk assessment.
4. Partnering with stakeholders to support strategic initiatives and product growth.
5. Assisting with new product support, acquisitions, divestitures, and data analysis.
6. Providing ad hoc analysis and support as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Corporate Finance with 6+ years of experience.
• Results-oriented with strategic thinking capabilities.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ambitious, self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and in teams, with excellent partnership skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, or similar software.
• Effective time management and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Work Location

Role requires in-office attendance 3-5 days per week.
