Job summary

Ontario Clean Water Agency in Varna, ON is hiring a W&WW Operator to operate and maintain water and wastewater facilities in the Bluewater/Lucan cluster. The role requires readiness to work overtime and participate in on-call rotations to ensure continuous operations.

The successful candidate will hold an Operator-in-Training to Class IV certificate or be eligible, have knowledge of wastewater processes, maintenance trades, and safety regulations, and be prepared to obtain higher certifications

Qualifications

• Mandatory: OIT to Class IV certificate or license (Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment, Water Distribution).
• Must be available for overtime and on-call rotations.
• Valid Class G driver’s license is required.
• Knowledge of water/wastewater regulations, safety acts (OHSA) and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain water and wastewater facilities in the Bluewater/Lucan cluster.
• Inspect processes, collect samples, and adjust operations as needed.
• Maintain logs and liaise with coworkers, clients and suppliers.
