Job summary

Egis Canada in Ottawa is seeking an Intermediate Water Resources Engineer to join our expanding municipal and land development teams. You will deliver hydraulic modeling, stormwater design, and regulatory submissions for municipal servicing projects, working with a multidisciplinary group to meet design standards.

A 3–7 year track record, Ontario PEng eligibility, and experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, PCSWMM are required.

Qualifications

University degree in Civil Engineering or Water Resources Engineering.
3–7 years design experience on municipal servicing or land development projects.
Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario or eligible within one year.
Experience with hydraulic modelling (HEC-RAS 1D/2D) and water infrastructure design.
Fluent English; French bilingual is an asset.

Responsibilities

Deliver hydraulic modeling and water resources analysis for municipal servicing, stormwater management, and conveyance systems.
Prepare and review technical reports, design drawings, and regulatory submissions for municipal approvals.
Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering design across land development, infrastructure, and utility systems.
Support planning and execution of stormwater management systems, including ponds and drainage networks.
Conduct design review to ensure constructability, regulatory compliance, and cost efficiency.
Provide technical oversight of hydraulic modeling outputs using PCSWMM, MIKE, WaterCAD, and SewerCAD.
Participate in stakeholder coordination with municipalities, developers, and regulatory authorities.
Contribute to proposal development and business development activities.
Perform quality control checks across project phases, ensuring adherence to municipal engineering standards.
Monitor regulatory changes and apply best practices in sustainable infrastructure design.
Support construction-phase services, including design clarifications and technical reporting.
