WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Senior Environmental Planner to lead planning and approvals for water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure across Ontario.

You will guide complex assessments, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and engage Indigenous Nations, regulators, and communities to advance critical projects. The role emphasizes strategic environmental planning, regulatory compliance, and mentorship within a hybrid work setting across Ontario offices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Studies, Environmental Science, Planning, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience leading environmental assessments and approvals for water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Environmental Assessment Act, Endangered Species Act, Ontario Heritage Act, and related frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental assessments and approval processes for water, wastewater, and stormwater projects.
• Deliver Municipal Class Environmental Assessments, including Master Plans and Schedule B/C projects.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams to complete studies, impact assessments, and regulatory submissions.
• Design and implement engagement with Indigenous Nations, regulators, communities, and stakeholders.
• Provide strategic guidance on environmental planning, permitting, and feasibility studies.
• Mentor team members and contribute to business development and proposals.
