Job summary

Reliance Home Comfort in Ontario is seeking a Water Heater Installer to professionally install water heaters and tankless equipment in residential settings, following manufacturer specs, local codes and company standards. The role requires a Grade 12, G2 license, and a valid G-class driver’s license; you will repair leaks, maintain HVAC equipment, educate customers, ensure safety, and train new installers.

• Must have G2 gas license and a valid G-class driver’s license.
• Experience with residential HVAC and water heater service.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Professionally install water heater and tankless equipment per specs and code.
• Replace or repair leaking water heaters and maintain HVAC equipment.
• Ensure personal and customer safety; educate customers and offer solutions.
• Mentor and train new installers; participate in team activities.
• Work rotating shifts and weekends as required.

What will you do?

• Must meet Company requirements with respect to general qualifications.
• Completed a minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Must have Gas Technician ‘2’ (G2) license.
• Must have at least a Class G Driver’s License.
• Diagnostic and HVAC maintenance skills for residential equipment.
• Must be physically capable of performing all work required of this position.
• In addition, ability to lift and maneuver water heaters with the assistance of material handling equipment.
• Must be able to demonstrate ability to understand/learn new technologies (i.e. Electronics/electricity).
• Must have strong interpersonal and problem solving skills.
• Must have outstanding customer service and organizational skills.
• Very punctual and dependable.
• Maintain company vehicle to neat clean and safe standard (where applicable).
• Ability to take direction and work with a minimal amount of supervision.
• Be willing and able to work rotating shifts and standby duties as required, including weekends.
