Job summary

AECOM seeks a Wastewater Process Engineering Specialist/EIT in Burnaby, BC. This role targets graduates or early-career engineers applying process and mechanical principles to water and wastewater facilities while gaining design and consulting experience.

Under supervision, you’ll support planning, design, and delivery of treatment facilities, pumping systems, and related infrastructure, progressing toward independent delivery of assignments.

Qualifications

• Academic, co-op, internship, or professional experience related to water or wastewater infrastructure.
• Foundational knowledge of process engineering principles and related equipment.
• Familiarity with P&IDs, equipment layouts, and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Apply standard engineering techniques to support water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Assist with preliminary design, calculations, sketches, and working drawings under guidance.
• Coordinate with suppliers and the engineering team for equipment selection.
• Prepare technical specifications, tender documents, and project reports.
• Support project data analysis and cost estimates to inform decisions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and manage assigned work independently.
