Job summary

Comox Valley Regional District is seeking a Maintenance Operator-Wastewater Facilities to service and repair plant systems at CVWPCC and related facilities. The role involves preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordinating with senior staff to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of procedures, bylaws, codes and equipment for operation and maintenance.
• Safety-conscious with commitment to safe work practices.
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot problems and implement solutions.
• Capable of fabricating metal with welding skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair plant equipment, conveyors, pumps and generators.
• Plan preventative maintenance and larger maintenance activities.
• Coordinate maintenance with Senior Operators for startups/shutdowns.
• Train operators and contractors in maintenance procedures.
• Perform general housekeeping and minor carpentry as needed.
