Job summary

Arnold Bros. Transport Ltd. in Winnipeg is seeking an experienced Wash Bay Attendant to help keep our fleet clean and safe. You will move equipment to the wash bay, inspect for issues, and wash both exterior and interior surfaces of trucks and trailers.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will create work orders, document tasks, and assist with minor repairs as needed. The shift is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a focus on reliability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• 1 year experience in inspection and/or repair preferred.
• Self-starter with ability to manage daily responsibilities and multi-task.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in extreme temperatures.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify equipment that needs washing and move it to the wash bay.
• Inspect equipment for inoperative components and damage.
• Wash exterior of trucks and trailers and interior of trailers.
• Create work orders to document washing and work.
• Document and perform minor repairs; communicate major repairs to Shop Foreman.

Arnold Bros Transport Ltd. is looking to add an experienced member to their Winnipeg shop. Wash Bay attendants are vital to keeping our equipment safe and clean. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Wash Bay Attendant will possess organizational skills, strong customer service, and the ability to multi-tasks.

Please note that the assigned shift is Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify equipment that needs to be washed and move equipment to the wash bay.
• Inspect equipment for any inoperative components (i.e. lights, hanging wires, general damage).
• Wash the exterior of trucks and trailers as well the interior of trailers.
• Create work order to ensure any work/washing is documented.
• Document and execute minor repairs in a time and cost-effective manner and communicate major repairs to Shop Foreman.

Qualifications & Competencies:

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education
• 1 year experience required for inspection and repair preferred
• Self-starter with the ability to manage and prioritize the daily responsibilities using multi-tasking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in extreme temperatures
• Strong organizational skills
