Job summary

Lordco Auto Parts in Port Coquitlam, BC is hiring for a Warehouse Distribution Worker on a 3-month contract. Shifts from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, full-time, at our new Distribution Center. You will pick/pack orders, inspect stock, and use a hand scanner to manage inventory, while operating forklifts and pallet jacks.

Applicants should lift up to 50 lbs, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be available for overtime or weekend shifts. Wage is $18.85/hr.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• WHMIS and TDG certification is an asset.
• Open to overtime and weekend shifts.
• Must be able to work full time.

Responsibilities

• Pick and pack orders and receive/put away inventory.
• Check stock for wear/damage and report faults.
• Prepare and pack special orders for stores/customers.
• Scan barcodes with a hand scanner.
• Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, picker trucks, and related equipment.
• Maintain safe operations around moving machines.
• Use online stock control system for tasks.
• Perform general warehouse duties and keep areas clean.

What you’ll do:

• Pick and pack orders, as well as receive and put away inventory
• Diligently check stock for wear/damage and report faults and discrepancies
• Follow the procedure for preparing and packing special orders for our stores and customers
• Scan bar codes on products from totes to pallets and packages using a hand scanner
• Operate electric and manual pallet jacks, forklifts, picker trucks, conveyor systems, walkie talkies, and work with autonomous vehicles
• Practice caution when working around moving machines, such as order pickers, forklifts, electric and manual pallet jacks, and mobile carts
• Use an online stock control system to perform specific tasks
• Perform general warehouse duties, including keeping areas clean and tidy

Do you fit the part?

• You are a high school graduate or equivalent
• You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• WHMIS and Transportation of Dangerous Goods certification is an asset
• You are open to flexible work schedules, including but not limited to overtime and weekend shifts
• Must be able to work full time.
