Job summary

Lordco Auto Parts in Port Coquitlam, BC is seeking a full-time Distribution Driver to pick up and deliver automotive parts to lower mainland stores. You will use a company vehicle and tablet system to ensure on-time, accurate deliveries while adhering to safety guidelines.

The role requires a valid Class 5 license, strong customer service, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Saturdays are required and you will work as part of a team in a busy distribution environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 License is required with a clean driver's abstract preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone.
• Strong attention to detail, highly organized with good time management.
• Confident operating a pickup truck and familiar with Lower Mainland roads.
• Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Pick up, and load automotive parts and accessories from the Port Coquitlam Distribution center and deliver to all lower mainland Lordco stores in a safe and timely manner
• Ensure accurate records of deliveries including signatures, time stamps, and any issues
• Adhere to local traffic laws and safety regulations while operating company vehicles
• Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure proper function
• Coordinate deliveries with a tablet system and communicate with shipper
• Receive and maintain inventory
• Inspect and maintain daily vehicle logs and report issues to manager

• Ability to lift items up to 50lbs and knowledge of workplace safety procedures and the ability to adhere to the Lordco Occupational Health and Safety program

• Ensure accurate records of deliveries including signatures, time stamps, and any issues/discrepancies encountered
• Adhere to local traffic laws and safety regulations while operating company vehicles
• Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspection to ensure proper function of the vehicle
• Ability to use tablet applications effectively
• Coordinate deliveries with a tablet system and communicate with shipper
• Receive and maintain inventory
• Inspect and perform daily vehicle logs & report vehicle issues or upcoming services to reporting manager
