Job summary

Avmax Group Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Technician (Receiving) in Calgary, AB. The role reports to the Receiving Supervisor and supports inbound receiving, data entry, and warehouse operations.

The ideal candidate has a minimum high school diploma and aviation-related training is a strong asset. Experience with inventory systems and a commitment to safety are valued.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect inbound shipments for accuracy and condition.
  • Enter parts into ERP accurately and in compliance with regs.
  • Maintain delivery logs and receiving records.
  • Flag unserviceable parts to supervisor.
  • Route parts to stock or intercompany transfers.
  • Ensure inventory counts match ERP records.
  • Keep receiving bay clean and organized.
  • Support picking, inspections, and outbound shipping as needed.
  • Assist training and development of teammates.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives.

Reporting

The Warehouse Technician (Receiving) reports directly to the Receiving Supervisor.

Key Performance Indicators / Duties & Responsibilities
  • Examine inbound shipments for accuracy and condition, sort shipments, and communicate with stakeholders to ensure timely receipt of all materials.
  • Receive and transact parts into the ERP system, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with Transport Canada regulations and Avmax policies and procedures.
  • Create and maintain delivery logs and receiving records upon receipt of aircraft materials, equipment, merchandise, and supplies.
  • Report unserviceable parts and components to the Cores Receiver and Receiving Supervisor.
  • Route parts to stock locations or for intercompany transfer in accordance with Avmax procedures.
  • Ensure physical inventory counts of aviation parts and equipment match ERP system records.
  • Maintain an organized receiving bay and warehouse area by offloading trucks and facilitating distribution activities.
  • Consolidate storage locations and reorganize materials to optimize warehouse space, updating the ERP system as required.
  • Mitigate the risk of loss or damage by properly packing, handling, and storing materials.
  • Provide ongoing support to the Warehouse team and assist with picking, receiving inspections, outbound shipping, and distribution activities as required.
  • Assist with training and support the development needs of other team members as required.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and the development of process efficiencies.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness and report any safety concerns to management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Aviation-related training and/or education is considered a strong asset.
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
Experience
  • Minimum one year of experience in a similar role, preferably in aviation.
  • Experience with a computerized inventory system is preferred.
