Job summary

Canadian Natural Resources Limited is hiring a Warehouse Technician for our Central Distribution Center in Nisku, Alberta. The role involves inventory control, order fulfillment, and safe warehouse operations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include receiving, storing, and accurately recording stock levels, operating forklifts, and following safety protocols. Temporary 12-month position with potential extension; candidates must have a Class 5 license and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of warehouse or inventory experience in any industry.
  • 3+ years of forklift operation experience (Counterbalance, Narrow Aisle, Order Picker).
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (E1, Maximo, SAP, Oracle).
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory management including receiving, storing, and tracking stock.
  • Maintain organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Fulfill orders by picking and packing for shipment.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and use SDS and MTR documents.
  • Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely.
  • Collaborate with team to meet performance targets.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our warehouse operations run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. We are recruiting for multiple positions, and the successful candidates will work at our Central Distribution Center located in Nisku, Alberta, located just 4.2KM from Edmonton city limits.

  • Job location:Nisku, Alberta
  • Shift A: 5 x 2 - Monday – Friday (10:30AM-6:30PM)
  • Shift B: 4 x 3 – Tuesday – Friday (8:30AM- 6:30PM)
  • Shift C: 4 x 3 – Tuesday – Friday (12:00PM- 10:00PM)
  • Safety sensitive position:Yes

Please Note: This is a temporary 12-month position with a possibility of long-term extension/conversion.

Key Accontabilities:
  • Inventory management by accurately receiving, storing, and managing inventory while maintaining precise records of stock levels, product movement, and shipments
  • Warehouse organization by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment while ensuring items are stored correctly to optimize space and ease of access
  • Order fulfillment through picking and packing products for shipment according to orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your teammates. Utilize and maintain the Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Mill Test Reports (MTR)
  • Equipment handlingby operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery safely and effectively
  • Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to ensure that all warehouse operations run smoothly and efficiently, meeting or exceeding performance targets
What You Bring to the Role:
  • 3+ years of warehouse or inventory experience within any industry (retail, transportation, commercial, shipping, courier, etc.)
  • 3+ years of experience in forklift operation (Counterbalance, Narrow Aisle, Order Picker) and proficiency in warehouse management systems (E1, Maximo, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Parts or Materials Technician Apprentice/Journeyman Certification considered an asset
  • Experience with transportation management system (Oracle, 3GTMS, SAP, etc.) considered an asset
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) considered an asset
