Job description

Food has lost its soul to modern convenience. And with it, has lost the power to nourish, inspire, and connect us. So in 2018, CookUnity was founded as the first-of-its-kind platform that connects the world with the source of truly great food: chefs. Today, CookUnity delivers 35 million meals a year from the industry’s best chefs to homes all over the country. Fresh. Ready-to-eat. And crafted with the passion that nourishes body and soul.

Unwilling to stop there, CookUnity is expanding beyond delivery to become an ever-innovating marketplace focused on our singular mission: empower Chefs to nourish the world.

If that mission has you hungry in more ways than one, you’ve found the right job posting.

Who we are

CookUnity is the first ever chef-to-consumer platform. Connecting a diverse group of talented chefs with busy food lovers, we're elevating the at-home dining experience.

We are growing rapidly and looking for hard-working, passionate team members that will help us become more efficient, faster, and reliable to our customers.

We are always learning and growing – if this sounds like an environment where you would thrive, we'd love to hear from you.

Tasks:
  1. Receive shipments, check for damages and sort stock for distribution in the market/warehouse
  2. Keep record of invoices sent and received
  3. Fill orders by taking items from the warehouse and prepare them for delivery to chefs
  4. Keep track record of chefs' ingredient requirements and returns
  5. Monitor shelves and fill them in when needed
  6. Keep up with the movement of merchandise in the store and warehouse
  7. Weekly counting of assigned inventory
Qualifications
  1. Must be at least 18 years old
  2. Authorized to work in Canada
  3. Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
  4. Must be familiar with FIFO and food safety regulations
  5. You are reliable: punctual and regular attendance is required — changing the way the world eats and chef work takes heart and discipline!
  6. Ability to operate a pallet jack is helpful but not required
  7. Experience working in a food facility is helpful but not required
  8. Able to stand or walk for 8 hour shifts and carry up to 50 pounds
  9. Occasionally may be required to work in a cold refrigerated area kept at 35 degrees
Compensation

All final pay rates will be determined by candidates' experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

Pay Range for this position: $17.25 - $18.50 CAD

If you’re interested in this role, please submit your application and if we think you might be a fit, we'll get in touch with you. Thank you for your time!
