Job summary

Industrial Electric Mfg. (IEM) is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor (Fabrication – Metal & Bus) in Surrey to oversee daily warehouse operations, material flow, inventory control, and production support across all van locations.

This role ensures safe, efficient, and organized operations aligned with production schedules and continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires 100% in-office presence in Surrey and does not offer remote work.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years leading/supervising warehouse teams.
  • Minimum 4 years warehouse experience.
  • Experience in inventory, shipping, receiving, and material flow.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across locations.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety regulations.
  • Promotable with growth within a fast-paced organization.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily warehouse metal and bus fabrication activities across all van locations.
  • Coordinate receiving, storage, replenishment, and shipping.
  • Ensure accurate inventory management and material tracking.
  • Monitor warehouse space utilization and maintain organized storage systems.
  • Support production teams by ensuring timely material supply.
  • Coordinate transfers of materials between warehouse locations as required.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and operational issues.
  • Oversee metal material handling, storage, and inventory control.
  • Ensure materials are available to meet production and customer demands.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and address hazards immediately.
  • Ensure proper forklift and equipment usage.
  • Maintain clean and safe warehouse conditions.
  • Participate in incident investigations and corrective action planning.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization.

Position Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor (Fabrication – Metal & Bus) is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, material flow, inventory control, shipping to other locations if needed, receiving, and production support across all van locations. This role ensures safe, efficient, and organized operations while supporting production schedules, staffing requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives. The supervisor will coordinate material movement between locations, manage metal and bus inventory operations, and ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational goals.

Please note: This position requires 100% in-office presence in our Surrey offices and does not offer remote work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily warehouse metal and bus fab activities across all van locations.

Qualifications
  • Must have at least 2 years of warehouse lead/supervisory experience.
  • Must have 4 years of warehouse experience.
  • Experience managing inventory, shipping, receiving, and material flow.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across different locations.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and warehouse best practices.
  • Demonstrated career ambition with a track record of growth and increasing responsibility; highly promotable with the potential to take on broader leadership roles within a fast-paced, high-growth organization
Preferred Qualifications
  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
  • Experience managing multi-site operations.
