What you will do...

  • Organize and control the department's overall operations.
  • Plan department resources and activities in relation to company objectives, setting targets and achieving cost per unit goals.
  • Develop staff through inter/on-job training.
  • Follow up and control daily attendance.
  • Maintain housekeeping of the department and surrounding area.
  • Implement cost reduction principles in all department activities.
  • Promote motivation among staff for an efficient and effective department.
  • Oversee department standards, SOP compliance, and employee performance development.
  • Enhance subordinates' well-being and capabilities through training and promotion opportunities.
  • Research and improve department operations according to company objectives.
  • Communicate daily with other departments and team leaders.
  • Ensure quality objectives are met.
  • Respond to internal communication via email, fax, and telephone.
  • Plan staffing requirements.
  • Produce regular reports and statistics.
  • Maintain safety and security standards.
  • Ensure compliance with company and facility policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

What we require...

  • Bachelor's degree in business management or equivalent, with 2-3 years experience in distribution, logistics, operations planning, or facility management.
  • Experience supervising, coaching, and developing staff (2-3 years).
  • Ability to handle leg and foot fatigue due to warehouse supervision.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Effective communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to interpret safety rules, instructions, and manuals.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Proficiency in mathematics and ability to perform basic calculations.
  • Strong judgment and decision-making skills in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with vibrations, dust, and moving machinery.
  • Ability to work in a team and adapt to shifting priorities.
