Your Opportunity

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of warehouse associates, coordinating logistics activities, and collaborating with production, procurement, and quality control teams to support seamless manufacturing operations. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep understanding of inventory management systems and warehouse best practices.

This is a critical role overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse within Due North's manufacturing environment. The position ensures the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of raw materials, components, and finished goods, while maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and productivity.

Schedule: Tuesday to Friday, 5:45 am - 4:30 pm

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Manage stock control: goods receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely picking of goods, document recording, and data entry into the system.
  2. Compute space availability and storage requirements.
  3. Coordinate with establishment representatives to resolve issues such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications.
  4. Collaborate with department heads to coordinate warehouse activities related to production, sales, and purchasing.
  5. Ensure circle checks are completed for all applicable lifting devices, according to Due North's Lift Truck Operating Policy.
  6. Maintain daily safety documentation and ensure completion of circle checks for the Minus Forty Straight Truck and other equipment, in compliance with MTO standards.
  7. Estimate quantities or weights of products or materials in the system and determine appropriate containers for storage or transport.
  8. Arrange efficient and localized storage of incoming materials.
  9. Implement warehouse safety and security programs.
  10. Inspect materials, products, or equipment for defects or malfunctions.
  11. Monitor product locations to optimize walking distances and report concerns.
  12. Oversee pickup and delivery of products or materials.
  13. Address customer or team member questions and complaints regarding warehouse services.
  14. Review orders and forecasts to anticipate peak delivery periods.
  15. Coordinate with production schedules to determine inventory needs, staffing, work procedures, and duties, within budget and time constraints.
  16. Conduct cyclical and regular stock checks to ensure accuracy.
  17. Investigate and report warehouse issues such as damaged or missing stock.
  18. Maintain clear aisles and organized storage areas.
  19. Generate inventory reports and KPI metrics for management.
  20. Stay updated with the latest warehouse technology and procedures.

You Have

  • High School diploma or G.E.D.; post-secondary education preferred.
