Job summary

Polaron Energy Corp. in Dartmouth, NS, is seeking an organized Warehouse Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations in our storage and distribution center. You will supervise staff, coordinate receiving, storage and shipments, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure safety and efficiency. The role requires at least two years in warehousing, supervisory experience, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

This is a permanent, full-time position offering 30 hours per week at $32/hour.

Qualifications

  • Completion of secondary school is required.
  • A college diploma in logistics, supply chain management, business administration or a related field is an asset.
  • At least two years of experience in warehousing, inventory control, shipping and receiving or a related field.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is required.
  • Experience using inventory management or warehouse management systems is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the day‑to‑day activities of the warehouse, assign work to warehouse staff and ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Oversee the receiving, storage and shipment of company materials, ensuring inventory is organized, accurately recorded and readily available for daily operations.
  • Regularly monitor inventory levels, investigate inventory discrepancies and follow up on missing or damaged items.
  • Coordinate with office staff, project coordinators and other departments to ensure materials and equipment are prepared and available to support scheduled work.
  • Arrange deliveries and pickups with suppliers and transportation providers, and assist in resolving shipping or scheduling issues.
  • Train new warehouse employees on company procedures, inventory practices and safe warehouse operations.
  • Monitor employees’ work, provide day‑to‑day guidance and help maintain an organized, efficient and safe warehouse environment.
  • Monitor warehouse equipment and report maintenance needs promptly to minimize operational interruptions.
  • Maintain inventory records and prepare routine inventory and warehouse activity reports for management.
  • Order warehouse supplies and consumable materials required for day‑to‑day operations.
  • Assist with warehouse operations during busy periods and help resolve unexpected operational issues when required.
