Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of warehouse experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping, receiving, and material handling processes.
  • Experience using ERP and inventory management systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
  • Experience supporting Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement initiatives is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing, and shipping activities.
  • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse team members to achieve safety, quality, and productivity objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and warehouse procedures.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counting, audits, and effective inventory management practices.
  • Coordinate the timely movement of materials to support production requirements and customer deliveries.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shipment issues, and operational challenges.
  • Optimize warehouse space utilization, material flow, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records and transactions within the ERP/WMS system.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, cost reduction, and operational performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare reports and monitor KPIs, including inventory accuracy, on-time shipments, and productivity metrics.

Position Description

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring the safe, efficient, and accurate receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of materials. This role leads a team of warehouse personnel and works closely with Production, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Logistics to ensure material availability, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who promotes a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
