Job description

GEV Wind Power is seeking an organized and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our team in Medicine Hat, Canada. In this role, you will manage the entire inventory process, including receiving, organizing, storing, and preparing items for shipment and distribution.

Location: Medicine Hat, Canada
Schedule: Monday through Friday, Regular Business Hours
Expected Working Time: 40 hrs/week + occasional overtime
Environment: Non-climate-controlled warehouse

Job Description:

  • Handle all outgoing and incoming deliveries in a timely and organized manner.

  • Accurately record and track inventory in databases.

  • Assist in maintaining appropriate stock levels for materials and supplies.

  • Sort, organize, and store inventory in designated locations to ensure easy access.

  • Package items and label them correctly for shipment.

  • Stack and organize large bulk items.

  • Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.

  • Prepare purchase requests for materials as needed.

  • Communicate with occasional vendors and suppliers.

  • Prepare assets, tools, and equipment for timely field deployment.


To be considered, you must meet the minimum requirements:

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Strong work ethic and a sense of urgency.

  • Previous experience shipping and handling hazardous materials is a plus.

  • Comfortable using inventory management software and other computer systems.

  • Knowledgeable in shipping and receiving processes.

  • Ability to safely operate a forklift.

  • Must hold a current, valid driver's license with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 75 lbs, using a computer, climbing ladders, and driving a pickup truck.

  • Ability to effectively read, write, speak, and understand English.

  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse, enduring varying temperatures.
