Job summary

Dufresne Furniture and Appliances in Brandon, MB is seeking a Warehouse Merchandise Handler for our Brandon store at 1885-18th St N. You will help with receiving goods, stocking, and preparing items for delivery while supporting store operations and visual presentation.

This role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds; you should be comfortable working days, evenings, weekends and holidays and maintaining inventory and housekeeping

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent skills and experience.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's license with clean Driver's abstract.
• At least three to six months of related experience and/or training.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and ability to learn in-house inventory management systems.
• Ability to work during retail hours (days, evenings, weekends, and holidays).
• Physically fit, able to lift and move objects up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Receive product, product returns, accessories and supplies and prepare outbound shipments.
• Prepare product for delivery or floor placement.
• Maintain and provide accurate inventory documentation for the warehouse and sales floor.
• Look after maintenance and housekeeping of exterior (i.e. grass cutting, shovelling, cleanliness).
• Conduct general store internal maintenance (i.e. light bulbs, putty of walls, general handy-person duties, garbage).
• Support loading and unloading of freight trailers.
• Keep warehouse area and sales floor organized and clean.
• Be responsible for advertising setup and takedown.
• Assist with home deliveries as required.
