Job summary

Dufresne Furniture and Appliances in Brandon is hiring a Warehouse Merchandise Handler to support warehouse operations, merchandise movement, and delivery coordination at our Brandon store.

The successful candidate will manage inbound/outbound goods, maintain inventory records, and assist with on-site maintenance and store presentation. This full-time on-site position requires flexibility across days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent skills and experience.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's license with clean driving abstract.
• At least 3–6 months of related experience and/or training.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to learn in-house inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Receive product, returns, accessories and supplies; prepare outbound shipments.
• Prepare product for delivery or floor placement.
• Maintain accurate inventory documentation for warehouse and sales floor.
• Perform exterior maintenance (grass, shovelling, cleanliness) and inside tasks (bulbs, minor repairs).
• Support loading/unloading of freight trailers; keep area organized and clean.
• Assist with advertising setup and takedown.
• Help with home deliveries as required.

As a Warehouse Merchandise Handler you will responsible for efficient and accurate compliance with teams and provides support for visual presentation, warehousing, customer service, pick-ups, and movement of goods and merchandise.

As the Warehouse Merchandise Handler, you will:

• Receive product, product returns, accessories and supplies and prepare outbound shipments.
• Prepare product for delivery or floor placement.
• Maintain and provide accurate inventory documentation for the warehouse and sales floor.
• Look after maintenance and housekeeping of exterior (i.e. grass cutting, shovelling, cleanliness).
• Conduct general store internal maintenance (i.e. light bulbs, putty of walls, general handy-person duties, garbage).
• Support loading and unloading of freight trailers.
• Keep warehouse area and sales floor organized and clean.
• Be responsible for advertising setup and takedown.
• Assist with home deliveries as required.

As a successful candidate you will have the following:

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent skills and experience
• Valid Class 5 Driver's license with clean Driver's abstract.
• At least three to six months of related experience and/or training.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and ability to learn in-house inventory management systems.
• Ability to work during retail hours (days, evenings, weekends, and holidays).
• Physically fit, able to lift and move objects up to 100 pounds.
