Job summary

Dufresne Furniture and Appliances is seeking a Warehouse Merchandise Handler for our Brandon store located at 1885-18th St N in Brandon, MB. The role involves receiving products, preparing shipments, and maintaining inventory and store cleanliness.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Class 5 license, and 3–6 months of related experience. This is a full-time, on-site seasonal position requiring physical ability and flexibility with hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s license with clean driving record.
• 3–6 months of related experience or training.
• Ability to operate Microsoft Office and learn in-house systems.
• Ability to work retail hours including days, evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Physically able to lift up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Receive product, returns, accessories and supplies and prepare outbound shipments.
• Prepare product for delivery or floor placement.
• Maintain and provide accurate inventory documentation for the warehouse and sales floor.
• Look after maintenance and housekeeping of exterior (grass cutting, shovelling, cleanliness).
• Conduct general store internal maintenance (light bulbs, walls, general handy-person duties).
• Support loading and unloading of freight trailers.
• Keep warehouse area and sales floor organized and clean.
• Assist with advertising setup and takedown.
• Assist with home deliveries as required.
