Job summary

Dufresne Furniture and Appliances is seeking a Warehouse Merchandise Handler for our Winnipeg store located at 1750 Ellice Avenue. You will be responsible for efficient and accurate compliance with teams and provide support for warehousing, customer service, and movement of goods.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 3–6 months related experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds while working days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent skills and experience.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and ability to learn in-house inventory management systems.
• Ability to work during retail hours (days, evenings, weekends, and holidays).
• Physically fit, able to lift and move objects up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Receive product, returns, accessories and supplies and prepare outbound shipments.
• Prepare product for delivery or floor placement.
• Maintain and provide accurate inventory documentation for the warehouse and sales floor.
• Look after maintenance and housekeeping of exterior (grass cutting, shovelling, cleanliness).
• Conduct general store internal maintenance (light bulbs, plaster, basic handyman duties, garbage).
• Support loading and unloading of freight trailers.
• Keep warehouse area and sales floor organized and clean.
• Be responsible for advertising setup and takedown.
• Assist with home deliveries as required.
