Dufresne Furniture and Appliances in Prince Albert, SK is hiring a Warehouse Transportation Handler (Home Delivery Driver). Join our team to deliver and assemble furniture and appliances to guests’ homes, support warehousing, and ensure safe, on-time service from our Marquis Rd location.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid Class 5 license with clean abstract, 6–12 months delivery driver experience, ability to lift up to 100 lb, and availability for days, evenings,

Qualifications

• 6–12 months delivery driver experience with heavy product preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Physically able to lift and move objects up to 100 lbs.
• Willingness to travel within a 2.5 hour radius of the store.

Responsibilities

• Load and deliver product to guests’ homes and assemble when required.
• Receive product, returns, and accessories; prepare for delivery or floor placement.
• Perform pre/post trip safety checks and audits as required.
• Drive scheduled routes safely while maintaining customer service.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with warehouse tasks.
• Ensure proper documentation and photos for delivery confirmations.
• Follow all regulations and company policies on delivery operations.

Dufresne Furniture and Appliances is currently seeking aWarehouse Transportation Handler (Home Delivery Driver)for ourPrince Albertstore located at331 Marquis Rd.

As a Warehouse Transportation Handler, you will work as part of a team to provide exceptional delivery service to our guests. You will also provide support for visual presentation, warehousing, customer service, pick-ups, and movement of goods and merchandise.

As the Warehouse Transportation Handler, you will:

• Load and deliver product (including furniture and appliances) to the guest’s home, and assemble product when required.
• Receive product, product returns, accessories, supplies, and prepare product for delivery, outbound shipments or floor placement.
• Conduct pre and post trip audits as required to meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Safely and efficiently drive the scheduled route while keeping scheduling and providing exceptional customer service.
• Conduct all activities safely and courteously with every effort to minimize damage to the product and the guest’s homes.
• Ensure accurate completion of delivery work by using delivery tablets and taking required photos.
• Complete all required Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and comply and present all HOS logs electronically when checked at a scale or stopped by the authorities.
• Understand and follow all safe work practices and rules.
• Notify and reconcile any discrepancies and the completion of each delivery with the DCD (Delivery Completion Data) personnel.
• Abide by all Federal, Provincial and Municipal regulations concerning commercial truck drivers.
• Communicate any issues (mechanical or otherwise) regarding the delivery truck.
• Maintain and provide accurate inventory documentation for warehouse and sales floor.
• Perform general store internal maintenance (i.e., light bulbs, putty of walls, general handy-person duties, garbage), and maintenance and housekeeping of exterior (i.e., grass cutting, shoveling, cleanliness).
• Keep warehouse area and sales floor organized and clean.

As a successful candidate you will have the following:

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent skills and experience.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with clean Driver Abstract (with air considered a plus).
• 6 months to 1 year of Delivery Driver experience handling heavy product preferred.
• Experience with hand tools is an asset.
• Effective written and oral communication skills, with the ability to provide a high level of customer service.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Physically able to lift and move objects up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to work during retail hours (days, evenings, weekends, and holidays).
• Willingness to travel within a 2.5 hour radius of store location, with possibility of overnight travel.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures.
