Job summary

Wolseley Canada is seeking a Warehouse Manager at our Saskatoon location to lead daily warehouse operations, optimize space, and support employee development in a fast-paced distribution environment.

The ideal candidate has 2-5 years in distribution/warehouse, strong organizational skills, and management experience. Fluency in French and English is a plus, with a commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a functional leader with direct managerial responsibilities.
• Administers workflow and prepares team schedules to meet customer service standards.
• Optimize receiving docks space and overall warehouse productivity.
• Oversee space utilization and productivity within assigned area.
• Maintain equipment and arrange repairs as needed.
• Train employees on processes and tasks, including equipment usage and material handling.
• Provide coaching and supervision; monitor performance and identify potential for development.
• Ensure safety standards and proper housekeeping within the area.

The Opportunity

Join the Saskatoon location as a Warehouse Manager and play a key role in leading daily warehouse operations. In this hands-on leadership position, you will oversee workflow, optimize warehouse space and productivity, support employee development, and ensure a safe and efficient work environment. We are looking for a customer-focused leader with strong organizational and people management skills who thrives in a fast-paced distribution environment and is committed to operational excellence. Experience in the plumbing, HVAC/R, or distribution industry is considered a strong asset.

What You Will Do

• Direct managerial responsibilities are applicable. Acts as a functional leader. Responsible for disciplinary action of the team members.
• Administers workflow and prepares work schedules of team members in such a way that work flow meets customer service standards.
• Uses appropriate means to optimize the efficiency of the receiving docks and the space available.
• Optimize the space and the productivity in his field of responsibility in the warehouse.
• Responsible for the proper maintenance and usage of equipment and machinery and anticipated repairs or concerns.
• Trains employees on proper processes and sub-processes, Trains on specific tasks such as proper equipment usage, material handling and maintenance. Determines positions to be rotated and considered for training and encourages cross training between all team members.
• Provides coaching and supervision. Reports the ongoing performance of team members; identifies superior performers with development potential.
• See to the application of safety standards.
• Ensures all team members achieve proper housekeeping within area of responsibility. Ensures area of responsibility is well maintained, productive and in compliance with the companies policies and procedures.

What You Will Bring

• 2 to 5 years of experience in the distribution/warehouse field, ideally in a Plumbing / HVAC/R related field.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Capable to set priorities.
• Management experience.
• Management style using team work and customer focus.
• Fluency in both French and English would be an asset.
