Job summary

Convoy Supply Ltd in Surrey, BC, is seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead warehouse operations, optimize picking and shipping, and ensure on‑time, accurate deliveries.

You will coach staff, enforce safety, manage inventory through cycle counts, and partner with dispatch. A diploma in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain and 5+ years of management in building supply are preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience in building supply.
• Strong business acumen and knowledge of logistics operations.
• Understanding of SOPs, HAZMAT, ISO/SF/SF standards.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and allocate resources for warehouse picking and shipping.
• Support operations: inspection, receiving, storage, order picking, inbound/outbound shipments.
• Monitor inventory accuracy with cycle counts and annual inventories.
• Develop lean initiatives for continuous process improvement.
• Ensure staff compliance with policies and procedures.
• Oversee drivers for loading/unloading and schedule deliveries.
• Coordinate with dispatch using fleet management software.
• Coach, train, and supervise staff; conduct monthly Health and Safety meetings.

Responsibilities

• Plan and allocate resources for warehouse picking and shipping processes to ensure daily shipments are picked and shipped promptly following customers’ requirements
• Provide support operation processes, including inspection, receiving, and storage; material usage, order picking, and inbound and outbound shipments; and the handling and disposition of material activities
• Responsible for monitoring and upholding inventory accuracy through cycle count process, investigation of variances, and quarterly and annual physical inventories
• Develop and implement lean initiatives to guarantee continuous improvement in processes
• Responsible for employee compliance to company policies and production procedures
• Oversee drivers to ensure proper loading, unloading and securement procedures are followed
• Oversee completion of driver logs for accuracy as defined by regulations
• Work with dispatch to effectively schedule deliveries and trucks using the fleet management software
• Support and collaborate with the Operations Manager and the drivers in the event of an accident to ensure completion of documentation as it pertains to the accident investigation
• Review GPS files to employees are working according to rules/regulations to established by Convoy and the law
• Monitor and manage other equipment for maintenance and repairs
• Monitor the delivery schedule make changes and update the schedule as orders are completed
• Coach, train and supervise staff
• Conduct Health and Safety meeting once a month

Requirements

• Diploma in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain
• Minimum of 5 years management experience, preferably in the building supply industry
• Strong business acumen and broad knowledge of logistics or supply chain operations
• Understanding of department standard operating procedures, HAZMAT, or quality management systems, including (ISO and SF/SF)
• Exceptional communication abilities to relate and convey information to people from different background and levels in the organization
• Ability to establish rapport with their teams, as well as build trusting relationships with business partners and vendors
• Mentoring and coaching skills, and ability to coordinate and contribute to team effort in accomplishing target results
• Ability to solve practical problems and address deviations from projected goals through analytical and decision-making skills
• Proficiency level skills in MS Office applications, relational databases, and ERP systems
