Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. in Beamsville, Ontario, is seeking a Lead, Hand to support our 85,000 sq ft Canadian CFC facility.

You will lead warehouse associates in shipping and receiving while maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring safety and compliance. Responsibilities include maintaining ISO certifications, implementing 5S and lean initiatives, providing IT support, documenting SOPs, and tracking training records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent is required.
• 1-3 years of experience in a distribution center with a general knowledge of distribution controls and operations required.
• Strong leadership skills. Able to effectively lead and direct a team of associates.
• Strong customer focus and results driven.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
• Ability to work flexible hours including the day or afternoon shift and overtime as required.
• Able to travel to other Canadian locations 2-3 times per year.

Responsibilities

• Lead warehouse associates in shipping and receiving while maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Maintain, Track and Manage Safety Program for all CFC locations in Canada, including safety meetings and training.
• Lead lean initiatives including 5S audits and continuous improvement projects.
• Provide IT support for the Canadian CFCs and track IT requests to resolution.
• Document all SOPs and maintain training records for associates.
• Support and promote continuous improvement initiatives throughout the distribution center.
