The Role

We’re looking for a hands-on and reliable Warehouse Lead to support our warehouse operations within a busy construction and prefabrication environment. Working closely with the Warehouse Supervisor, this role helps execute daily shipping, receiving, inventory, and tool tracking activities, while also stepping in to support deliveries and coordinate workflow during peak periods or absences. While not a formal supervisory position, the Warehouse Lead is a key contributor to warehouse efficiency and a go-to resource for teammates.

Keys Tasks

The Warehouse Lead’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Perform daily shipping and receiving, including labeling, packing, staging, and documentation.
• Support warehouse layout organization for efficient material access.
• Assist with loading/unloading deliveries and maintaining order accuracy.
• Update inventory and tool tracking systems; report discrepancies.
• Support delivery logistics and drive company vehicles during high-volume periods.
• Coordinate daily task flow and provide support in the Supervisor’s absence.
• Assist with onboarding new team members and reinforce safety practices.
• Conduct equipment inspections and uphold warehouse safety standards.
• Accurately document incoming/outgoing materials.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

• 5+ years in a warehouse or logistics environment, ideally in construction or prefabrication.
• Experience in a senior or lead role considered an asset.
• Forklift and pallet jack operation experience required.
• Valid Forklift and Telehandler certifications required.
• Valid G-Class driver's license and clean driving record required.

Knowledge and Technical Skills

• Proficient in inventory and tool tracking systems.
• Familiar with warehouse equipment and delivery processes.
• Comfortable using basic computer and mobile applications.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Lift/carry up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs with assistance.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
• Work in indoor warehouse conditions with some outdoor exposure during deliveries.
• Operate forklifts and drive delivery vehicles in varying weather conditions.
