DHL Express currently has a part-time Warehouse position available in Halifax, NS. The shift runs Monday to Friday from 6am to 11am, with a starting wage of 20.72 CAD per hour, increasing as per the collective bargaining agreement.

The role involves warehouse operations, counting, sorting, and supporting the tracing and front counter tasks. Ideal candidates are able to lift up to 70 lbs, hold a forklift certificate, meet security requirements, and work well in a team under tight deadlines.

Qualificações

• Must be able to lift and carry parcels up to 70 lbs.
• Forklift certificate or training is required.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and on-time within tight time constraints.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Must meet security requirements.
• Broad general knowledge of warehouse functions.
• Familiarity with DHL operations system is an asset.
• Must have a valid Class 5 driver's licence.
• Ability to obtain RAIC as per Transport Canada guidelines.

Responsabilidades

• Complete assigned deliveries and pickups and/or other tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Perform vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Scan freight according to procedures.
• Organize and sort freight for routes.
• Move freight within the warehouse as required.
• Sort and process inbound material by deadlines.
• Assist Tracing Department with warehouse checks for missorts and on-hands.
• Participate in warehouse organization and cleanup.
• Support a safe and cooperative work environment.
• Perform Front Counter Duties and HIC duties.
• Provide accurate reporting.
• Handle other warehouse duties as assigned by shift supervisor.

How will you contribute?

• Complete assigned deliveries and pick ups and/or other tasks assigned by supervisor

Do you have what it takes?

• Ability to lift and carry parcels, up to and including 70 lbs per piece, throughout shift.
• Forklift certificate
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and on-time within tight time constraints.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Meet security requirements
• Broad general working knowledge of warehouse functions.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the DHL operations system.
• High School Diploma
• Ability to obtain Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) as per Transport Canada guidelines.
• Valid Class 5 drivers licence
