Job summary

Motion Industries seeks a dependable Warehouse Associate at our Nova Scotia branch to handle shipping and receiving, pick and pack orders, and prepare items for delivery. You will maintain a clean, safe work environment and may assist customers with counter sales and invoicing.

Forklift operation may be required, with a high school diploma or GED typically expected. Strong basic math, reading, and computer skills are important.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is typical.
• Forklift certification may be required.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record may be required.

Responsibilities

• Determine which items need to be picked, checked and shipped from sales order.
• Pull orders accordingly to the sales order and recheck them to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare items for delivery to customer.
• Secure packages to prevent damage during shipping.
• Prepare customer returns for shipment back to Distribution Center, Fulfillment Center, or supplier.
• Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to MINO code organization.
• Report damaged inventory to warehouse supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, well-organized, and safe working environment.
• May deliver items to customers and obtain signature.
• May process counter sales or invoices for customers.
• May operate a forklift or similar equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Receive items in the computer system to show availability.
