Job summary

Lordco Auto Parts is seeking a Forklift Operator for its Port Coquitlam, BC distribution center. The role runs on the Afternoon shift, Monday–Friday, 3:00pm–11:30pm, and involves pre-op checks, material handling, and ensuring a safe, efficient workspace.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, monitoring operation, troubleshooting, and maintaining daily equipment readiness while adhering to procedures and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment and performing pre-operational checks.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
• WHMIS and TDG knowledge is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Keep work areas hazard free and organized.
• Clean and set up press machines and related equipment.
• Perform pre-operational checks on forklift and keep daily maintenance
• Monitor the machine during operation and perform in-process checks.
• Troubleshoot production issues and report safety hazards promptly.
• Maintain equipment and follow operating procedures.

What you’ll do:

• Keep work areas hazard free
• Clean and set up press machines, accessories, and rooms
• Be responsible for conducting pre-operational checks on equipment
• Monitor the machine during operation and perform in-process checks, adjusting as necessary
• Perform troubleshooting during production
• A keen focus on the little things and an understanding of the importance of attention to detail
• Maintaining equipment for daily use
• Understanding the operating procedures for machines
• Reporting safety hazards within the work environment

Do you fit thepart?

• You are a high school graduate or equivalent
• You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Have order picking experience
• You have previous work experience in a warehouse setting
• Must be certified in one or more of the following: order picker, cherry picker, stand up reach truck, stand up counterbalance, and end rider
• Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot potential issues
• Resourcefulness in learning new manuals and processes
• Outstanding attention to detail with the ability to understand mechanics and technical tasks
• Ability to identify issues or problems in operations or maintenanceWHMIS and Transportation of Dangerous Goods certification is an asset
