Job summary

Dare Foods Limited in Cambridge is seeking a Distribution Supervisor for the night shift (Sunday to Thursday, 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.).

The role focuses on leading warehouse and shipping operations, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, inventory integrity, and a safe, high‑performing environment. You will coach staff, monitor productivity and KPIs, collaborate with Production, Customer Service and Transportation, and drive continuous improvement in processes to meet Dare's standards of quality

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in warehouse, distribution or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, shipping/receiving and warehouse operations.
• Experience working with WMS and ERP systems.
• Forklift certification is an asset.
• Knowledge of food manufacturing and food safety practices is an asset.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

• Ensure customer orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on schedule.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
• Enforce health and safety policies and company procedures.
• Lead, coach, train and develop employees to meet goals and performance expectations.
• Monitor productivity, labor utilization and warehouse KPIs.
• Investigate and resolve shipping, inventory and distribution discrepancies.
• Collaborate with Production, Customer Service, Transportation and Supply Chain teams for efficiency.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and service levels.
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, attendance management, and performance management.
• Ensure warehouse equipment is maintained and operating safely.
• Optimize operations through time management, dock/space utilization and capacity planning.
• Drive productivity and improvements while maintaining best-in-class inventory KPI performance.

Position Overview

We are seeking an organized, hands‑on, and results‑driven Warehouse Distribution Supervisor to lead our warehouse and shipping operations. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the successful candidate will oversee daily distribution activities, ensure accurate order fulfillment, maintain inventory integrity, and promote a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure warehouse equipment is properly maintained and operating safely.
• Optimize warehouse operations through effective time management, dock and space utilization, and overall warehouse capacity planning.
• Drive productivity and continuous improvement through efficient resource/labour management while maintaining best‑in‑class inventory KPI performance.

Qualifications

• Post‑secondary education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 3‑5 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, shipping/receiving, and warehouse operations.
• Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems.
• Valid forklift certification is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of food manufacturing and food safety practices is an asset.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
