Job description

Primary Responsibility:

Under general supervision, the Janitor will keep buildings in office, break rooms, bathrooms, yard/ground, parking lots, warehouse, and/or dock areas in a clean and orderly condition. Ensures sanitation of work areas.

What You’ll Do:

1. Perform heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.
2. Perform routine maintenance activities and cleaning of show or debris from grounds, notifying management of need for repairs.
3. Ensure pest control systems are operating effectively and report any issues to supervisor.
4. Remove ice and snow from pedestrian walkways and parking lots as seasonally required.
5. Keep company grounds free of litter and debris.
6. Work safely and report hazards to shift supervisor.
7. Comply with OSHA standards and company safety procedures.
8. Follow attendance policy, showing up on time and ready to work the assigned shift.
9. Wash and/or sweep inside of trailers and/or railcars as required.
10. Perform other duties as assigned, including tasks outside of normal responsibilities as needed.

What Experience and Education You Need:

• High school diploma or GED preferred, or at least one year of related work experience.
