Fort Garry Industries has an exciting opportunity for a Parts Handler to join our team at our Winnipeg location.

What You Will Do:

  • Verify parts to ensure they are correct before assembling customer orders
  • Assist in stocking and maintaining inventory items in designated warehouse storage areas
  • Re-stock shelves and move parts
  • Assist customers when looking for parts
  • Uphold and embody FGI Customer Service Standards and Core Values with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders
  • Champion FGI's safety culture by performing all duties within established procedures and practices
  • May assist with shipping and receiving
  • May assist with loading vehicles
  • May occasionally deliver products with an FGI vehicle
  • Other duties as assigned

What We Require:

  • MUST HAVE1 year of general warehouse experience or order picker experience using an RF Scanner or barcode gun.
  • MUST BE ABLEto meet the physical requirements: Lift up to 75- 100lbs, frequent standing and walking, reading small print and numbers.
  • High school diploma, GED, or other high school equivalence certificate
  • Excellent customer service skills – dedicated to exceeding expectations of internal and external customers
  • Strong written and verbal skills – ability to write and speak succinctly with customers and colleagues
  • Basic to proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (email, Word, Excel) and ability to learn in-house systems
  • Valid class 5/G license with 5 years of Canadian driving experience is an asset
  • Heavy-duty parts knowledge or background is an asset
