Warehouse Associate - Cylinder Handler (Summer Student) - Winnipeg, MB

Primary Purpose:

The Cylinder Handler performs a variety of duties related to the loading, preparation, filling, and shipping of cylinders as required.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Load / unload trucks confirming cylinder quantities, styles and product mix
  • This requires the shunting of trucks,the use of a forklift and proficiency in cylinder handling
  • Put away stock, count cylinder loads and warehouse housekeeping
  • Fill cylinders as required
  • Perform visual, physical and odor tests on cylinders before filling and determine whetherre-testing and /or repairs are necessary
  • Complete and maintain quality control documentation per company and governmental requirements
  • Meet established standards for productivity and quality

Education:

  • High school graduate or equivalent experience

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Safety conscious and commitment
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations
  • Must be dependable and accountable(attendance and punctuality)
  • Able to manipulate a variety of cylinder sizes and weights as required
  • Knowledge of gas cylinders is an asset
  • Must have ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Good computer skills
