Job summary

SureWerx is hiring a Warehouse Associate for the Guelph branch, on-site, Monday to Friday, 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm. Minimum 1 year in a warehouse, and experience operating Reach Truck and Order Picker are required. Reside in Guelph area and be legally eligible to work in Canada. Starting wage is $21.00/hr with increases; premiums may apply for the afternoon shift.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and move products by hand or with equipment.

• Process incoming requisitions including picking, checking and packing orders.
• Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices.
• Ship orders and restock bins.
• Maintain inventory and use the inventory control system.
• Keep warehouse clean and organized.

Warehouse Associate Guelph Branch - Full Time Afternoon Shift

Minimum 1 year experience in a warehouse position.

Previous experience operating both a Reach Truck and an Order Picker.

Must reside in Guelph or surrounding areas.

We are currently hiring full-time Warehouse Associates for our Afternoon Shift at the Guelph branch. This is an on-site position working Monday to Friday, 2:00 pm to 10:30pm.

Starting wage: $21.00 per hour, increasing to $21.50 per hour upon successful completion of the probationary period. Employees may also be eligible for equipment premiums after certification. On October 1st the starting wage will increase to $21.35 per hour and $21.85 per hour upon successful completion of the probationary period.

SureWerx also offers an additional premium for the afternoon shift.

Responsibilities:

• Load, unload and move products by hand or with basic material handling equipment;
• Operate a variety of equipment to unload and load and move products;
• Weigh products, wrap goods and pack and unpack products;
• Process incoming requisitions which include picking, checking and packing orders;
• Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices and other documents;
• Shipment of orders;
• Restock bins;
• Maintain and organize inventory;
• Use the inventory control system to locate information, search orders or investigate discrepancies;
• Clean warehouse constantly;
• Other general warehouse duty as required.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Physically able to lift heavy shipments and products up to 50 lbs;
• Must have minimum 1 year experience on Reach Truck and 1 year experience on Order picker, industrial lift trucks and pallet jack;
• Good communication skills (verbal and written);
• Detail-oriented;
• Ability to work at a fast pace;
• Significant use of memory;
• Ability to operate a computerized inventory control system and scan gun picking will be an asset;
• Team player with a positive attitude;
• Strong problem-solving skills;
• Steel-toed safety footwear required;
