Job summary

SureWerx is hiring a Warehouse Associate for our Guelph branch. This full-time, day-shift on-site role offers CAD 21.00 per hour at start, rising to CAD 21.50 after probation, with potential equipment premiums after certification.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, inventory control, order picking, packing, and ensuring accurate shipments. The ideal candidate has at least one year in a warehouse and operable Reach Truck and Order Picker skills, and resides in Guelph or nearby.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience.
• Experience operating Reach Truck and Order Picker.
• Must be a permanent resident and reside in Guelph or surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and move products manually or with basic material handling equipment.
• Operate equipment to unload, load and move products.
• Weigh, wrap, and pack goods for shipment.
• Process incoming requisitions including picking, checking and packing orders.
• Inspect goods against invoices and documents for accuracy.
• Ship orders and restock inventory as needed.
• Maintain inventory and organize warehouse space.
• Use inventory system and scanners to locate information and track orders.
• Keep warehouse clean and safe; perform other duties as required.

We are currently hiring full-time Warehouse Associates for our Guelph branch. This is an on-site position working Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Starting wage: $21.00 per hour, increasing to $21.50 per hour upon successful completion of the probationary period. Employees may also be eligible for equipment premiums after certification.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and move products by hand or with basic material handling equipment;
• Operate a variety of equipment to unload and load and move products;
• Weigh products, wrap goods and pack and unpack products;
• Process incoming requisitions which include picking, checking and packing orders;
• Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices and other documents;
• Shipment of orders;
• Restock bins;
• Maintain and organize inventory;
• Use the inventory control system to locate information, search orders or investigate discrepancies;
• Clean warehouse constantly;
• Other general warehouse duty as required.

Skills & Qualifications

• Physically able to lift heavy shipments and products up to 50 lbs;
• Must have minimum 1 year experience on Reach Truck and 1 year experience on Order picker, industrial lift trucks and pallet jack;
• Good communication skills (verbal and written);
• Detail-oriented;
• Ability to work at a fast pace;
• Significant use of memory;
• Ability to operate a computerized inventory control system and scan gun picking will be an asset;
• Team player with a positive attitude;
• Strong problem-solving skills;
• Steel-toed safety boots required;
• One year of related experience will be an asset as we will train.
