Job summary

Wolseley Canada is seeking a warehouse associate to join our team in Ontario. Load, unload, pick, pack, and ship orders; deliver to customer sites; maintain warehouse accuracy and safety; and liaise with freight companies to meet tight delivery schedules.

Ideal candidates have warehouse experience, a valid G license, and forklift certification or the ability to become certified. The role offers a comprehensive benefits package and a fixed-term to permanent path.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience required.
• Valid G license required.
• Clean driving record within last 3 years.
• Forklift certification or ability to be certified.
• WHMIS and TDG certification would be an asset.
• Knowledge of Plumbing/HVAC products is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload product to meet delivery deadlines.
• Deliver orders to customers’ facilities or sites using assigned itinerary.
• Receive shipments and verify accuracy.
• Put away products in correct warehouse locations.
• Pick, pack and ship customer orders and prepare shipment documents.
• Coordinate with freight companies and customers on shipping priorities.
• Transport materials to and from customer sites and local locations.
• Load items into trucks and secure them to prevent damage.
• Obtain delivery signatures and ensure safety and housekeeping in warehouse.

They ensure every order is staged and delivered to our customers in a timely manner while helping maintain our Warehousing cleanliness and inventory.What you will do:Load and unload product in a timely manner to meet delivery deadlines and customer commitmentsDeliver orders to customers’ facilities, construction sites other branches or warehouses using the most effective itinerary or assigned itinerary.Receive incoming shipments and checking for accuracyPut away product to correct areas in the warehouse in a timely mannerPick, pack and ship customer orders, including preparing documentation for shipmentLiaise with freight companies and inside/outside customers to determine shipping prioritiesResponsible for transporting material to and from customer sites and other local locations.Obtain necessary shipping documentation related to the assigned route.Load items and orders into truck while adhering to a sometimes tight to delivery schedule.Strap and/or secure material so that there is no damage or breakage to the material during transport.Unload products according to the destination’s applicable rules.Responsible for obtaining a signature of acknowledgment of delivery.Ensure good housekeeping and safety procedures are maintained in the warehouse.Provide backup support to Counter Sales team as needed by providing product knowledge and information to customers in a professional manner.What you will bring:Previous warehouse experience requiredGeneral basic computer skills including Microsoft Office is requiredExceptional customer service and communication skillsMust be dependable and reliable and willing to take initiativeValid G license required.Clean driver’s abstract is required.
