Job summary

Superior Glove is hiring a Warehouse Associate at its Global Headquarters in Acton, ON. The role involves supporting shipping, receiving, inventory management and order fulfillment, with a focus on accuracy and safety.

You will report to the Team Leader and work a day shift, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (Mon–Thu) and 8:00 AM–4:00 PM (Fri).

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of warehouse/shipping experience.
• High school diploma required.
• Licenses: Forklift, Walkie, WAVE, Tow Motor and Man-Up—training provided.
• RF scanner familiarity preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Pick orders using handheld device and forklifts.
• Pack/process orders into appropriate boxes by size, model and color.
• Shrink wrap, stack and build skids safely.
• Assist with weights and measurements on products.
• Verify orders and label special orders appropriately.
• Load trucks safely and follow all safety procedures.
• Perform cycle/inventory counts as required.
• Assist with unloading/receiving trucks as needed.
• Assist with customer pick-ups when required.
• Follow employee handbook, safety, quality and environment policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Superior Glove Works Ltd.is currently hiring for a Warehouse Associate to work out of its Global Headquarters located in Acton ON Canada.

More about the role:

Reporting to theTeam Leader, theWarehouse Associateis responsible for supporting warehouse operations across shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and safety in all tasks. Based at our Global Headquarters located at 36 Vimy Street, Acton, ON. This is a day shift position currently scheduled from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Thursday and 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Fridays.

Responsibilities:

• Picking orders using a handheld device – using various warehouse machines to retrieve orders from different rooms and heights while identifying order specifications
• Packing / processing orders into appropriate boxes according to sizing, model, order, colour, etc.
• Shrink wrapping skids, stacking and skid building in a safe manner
• Assist with weights and measurements on products when needed
• Verifying orders and marking special orders with the appropriate labelling
• Loading trucks in an efficient manner while following all regulated safety precautions
• Cycle / inventory counts as required
• Assist with unloading / receiving of trucks
• Assist with customer pick-ups as required
• Follow and comply with all operational and safety procedures/ policies stated in the employee handbook, safety, customer service, quality and environment programs
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum one (1) year of warehouse / shipping experience preferred
• High school diploma required
• Forklift, Walkie, WAVE, Tow Motor and Man-Up licenses will be required – training provided, experience/previous license preferred
• Ability to use hand-held device ("e.g. RF scanner")
• Basic computer skills essential
• Math skills required to ensure order accuracy – testing is part of the recruitment process
• Strong communication skills are essential to be able to work with all departments and outside contacts Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
• Good problem-solving skills
• An ability to understand when an issue needs to be escalated.
• Ability to use judgement to determine if the gloves are of good quality.
• Must be adaptable to fast and ongoing changes in priorities.
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs during regular duties along with bending/walking/pushing/pulling
