Job summary

Sonepar Canada, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support general warehouse activities, including forklift operation, stock handling, and order fulfillment for our Saskatoon facility.

You will maintain safety standards, monitor inventory, assist with paperwork, and help ensure accurate, timely processing of orders in a fast-paced environment; prior forklift certification and physical stamina are essential.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Forklift certification or experience preferred.
  • Basic safety training and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Completing pre-shift inspections for forklift operation and battery maintenance.
  • Maintain safety compliance while operating the forklift.
  • Monitor and track inventory per company procedures.
  • Process orders as they are received and ensure accuracy of cutting procedures and paperwork.
  • Assist with general cleaning and participate in forklift recertification as required.

Responsible for providing general warehouse assistance in accordance to the standard operating procedures for the position and performing in compliance to safety standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Completing the pre-shift inspection for forklift, including battery maintenance.
  • Maintaining safety compliance when operating the forklift.
  • Reporting any unsafe work conditions that might occur.
  • Monitoring and tracking inventory per Company procedures.
  • Adhering to standards/processes in the warehouse.
  • Order picking.
  • Putting stock away in appropriate locations.
  • Stocking empty reels.
  • Processing orders as they are received.
  • Follow correct cutting procedures, complete required paperwork, and verify the order matches the requirements.
  • Assisting with general cleaning of work environment.
  • Participating in re-certification for forklift operation, as required.
  • Other duties as required.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Forklift Certification or experience required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Minimum 2 + years of warehouse, production or general labour related experience.
  • First Aid, and WHMIS an asset
  • Pass a background check
  • Pass a physical test
