Job summary

Sonepar Canada, Inc. is seeking a warehouse order picker in Edmonton. You will hand-pick orders, build and stretch-wrap pallets, label materials, and transport completed orders to designated areas in the warehouse.

The role requires operating RF units and tablets, maintaining safety, and collaborating with shipping, production, and sales teams to fulfill customer orders accurately. Lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with various departments to address customer orders.
  • Basic mathematical skills are required.
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication.
  • Competent in basic computer applications.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently lift heavy materials.
  • Effective prioritization skills to handle urgent orders promptly and efficiently.
  • Strong judgment in following established procedures and managing emergency calls/orders.
  • Keen attention to detail for monitoring the progress of multiple orders.
  • Solid decision-making skills to apply knowledge and make informed decisions.
  • Preferred familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) equipment.

Overview

This position requires frequent hand picking of orders, building and stretch wrapping pallets, tagging material and transporting completed orders to specific areas of the warehouse. This person will also ensure appropriate documents are filled out and taken to the Office.
