Job Summary

In a warehouse environment, perform a variety of activities related to the storage and shipping of raw materials and/or finished products to support overall operations and exceed customer expectations.

Job Description

Pay range: $20.35-$23.40 per hour

General Labourer Role

Core Responsibilities:

• Maintain or repair equipment as applicable.
• Produce parts required by the production line based on specified job types.
• Complete and maintain paperwork accurately.
• Resolve or notify relevant personnel of production issues.
• Ensure machines are calibrated and cleaned according to 6S standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Report discrepancies in bill of materials and routings.
• Conduct quality control spot inspections and measure parts to confirm specifications.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Meet customer specifications and delivery deadlines.
• Maintain proper logs for computer systems.
• Meet labor performance requirements as per job routings.
• Count parts during production.
• Assist other shop areas during slow production, including grinding, hardware, packaging, assembly, shake-out, deburring, cutting, machine loading, and tapping.

Job Specific Responsibilities:

Perform tasks according to drawings and routings, including but not limited to:

• Grinding
• Assembly

• Hardware handling
• Shake-out
• Machine loading
• Packaging
• Deburring
• Tapping

Physical Demands:

• Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Steel-toed shoes are required at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience in a metal fabrication facility.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn machine operation.
• This role will transition to a night shift from 3:30 pm to 1:30 am.
