Job description

Kaycan has an exciting career opportunity for a Warehouse Associate based in Ottawa to join our team. This is a great chance to join a Top Employer and contribute to our growth and success.

Reporting to the Warehouse Team Lead, a Warehouse Associate is responsible for picking and pulling customer orders, loading and unloading trucks, and performing warehouse organization duties while providing exceptional customer service.

Schedule: Monday to Friday
Status: Full Time, Permanent, On-site

Responsibilities:

1. Accurately pick, pack, and process orders for shipment, ensuring correctness.
2. Verify orders with packing lists, inspect and sign for shipments, and organize stock.
3. Load and unload trailers and operate material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
4. Conduct inventory cycle counts, maintain organization, and ensure safety and cleanliness.
5. Communicate stock levels and report damages or deficiencies promptly.
6. Adhere to safety protocols and use PPE properly.
7. Perform daily inspections of equipment and report unsafe conditions.
8. Perform additional warehouse duties as needed.

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent experience in distribution activities.
2. 1 to 3 years of experience in warehouse/distribution or customer service.
3. Forklift certification is an asset; training available for the right candidate.
4. Strong team player with excellent communication and customer service skills.
5. Good organizational skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
6. Physical stamina to lift over 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks.
7. Punctual, dependable, with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
