The Warehouse Associate in Burlington, Ontario, is responsible for processing customer orders in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining inventory integrity. This safety-sensitive role supports daily warehouse operations including material handling, order processing, and equipment operation.
Material Handling: Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move material and load/unload trucks.
Order Processing: Pick, package, and prepare material according to customer specifications and work orders.
Equipment Operation: Operate saw equipment (band saw, cold saw, etc.) to cut material accurately and efficiently.
Inventory Management: Receive stock, verify material, and put away in appropriate warehouse locations.
System Transactions: Receive stock, verify material, and put away in appropriate warehouse locations.
Safety Focus: Follow all safety procedures, perform daily equipment inspections, and maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Manager to support warehouse operations and business needs.
Attention to Detail: High accuracy in order picking, material verification, and following customer specifications.
Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to workplace safety, including proper equipment use and adherence to safety procedures.
Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with warehouse staff and supervisors to support efficient operations.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify material discrepancies, equipment issues, and workflow challenges and escalat as needed.
